   @ignatius: Uninstall the program. Delete its all keys from registry by searching with its name and reinstall again trial version and use this software. Other way is to reinstall windows (if the software you want to use is really important for you) as its gonna be corrupted soon again anyways as it always does after short period, doesn’t matter whatever antivirus program you use.

    @Mel: You can use the other trojan free version. This software is not a legal software and I do not recommend it. It can be for emergencies purposes or experimental purpose or whatever other educational purpose. If you are afraid of that trojan. Do not use it. I had noticed that worm too. Have you noticed some antivirus program even catch some softwares as a virus. Suppose you have got a software which deals with cookies, which tries to manage system settings. Some antivirus programs give u a foolish caution that its a bad software or some threat. But that thing might be the requirement for software to maintain the system changed settings. I hope it helps. You can heal that virus. If you are afraid, do not use this. Use this at your own risk. Thanks for feedback (all of you) and pointing that out to audience.

    I have a question about this. What if the trial software that you’re using works with date stamped data? Like a stock market analysis program that’s getting quotes over the internet for a specific date. Will the program still work or will it reject the data since the program “thinks” it’s working on an earlier date?

    They could make it so that as soon as you launch the program it starts a timer for let’s say 14 days. When you quit/close the application it pauses the timer. With this method it would not rely on the system clock but a timer.

    This is pretty neat! When I was a youngster, I wrote a batch DOS script that would change the date, launch a trial version of Paint Shop Pro, then revert back to the original date. I thought I was so rad!

    Why deal with Trial software when you can try Linux. Check out Ubuntu 9.04. It’s free, and enabling software repositories will allow you to have a central place to get trusted software for the system. There’s no need for a program like this, or trial software. There are other variants of software out there, over 25, 000 packages that is just as good. You can even install Ubuntu on top of Windows with Wubi, or just check out the LiveCD which runs in your RAM, and if you like it, install it onto your hard drive. It’ll take a little to get used to, but it’s far more superior than dealing with trial software, or Windows if the hardware is supported.

    If you need help there’s free user support of communities on IRC(Internet Relay Chat) or paid support, or google.

    Those of you who have read my comment and agrees and tries Ubuntu out, thanks.

    There is no Virus inside. Ive now decomlied the exe and hadn’t found any virus. Just some Antiviruses know the syntax when the Timestopper injects the Time parameters into the program. Also Trainers of games work nearly the same.

    Too, it’s not illegal!!! If you use the normal trail of a programm it’s not illegal. But ist’s illegal if you use a crack, keygen or change (deassably or batch) the original EXE. But in this case only change some systemparameters for a program. That is legal, otherwise every Trainer for a game would be illegal!!!

    Note: If your programm wants to get the time then allways the timestopper time is displayed.
    Tipps for developers to protect against: Start a standalone exe that gets the time and send this back to your main application exe. Then Timestopper hase no chance to stop the time!!!

    “It isnt illegal” – clearly you are trying to steal, or allow others to steal, the use of software from software vendors without paying for the software. The trial software is so that you can evaluate the software without paying for it – if you like it then you can buy a full version.

    We have two choices in life here people – go for Linux etc and become expert IT people who will probably contribute more back into the global IT wolrd than they take out, OR pay experts to do the techie stuff that takes hours and hours by buying the software that they produce.

    This tool IS theft, if you have an issue with it, dont use it!

    Personally, I recognise the software for what it is, and thank you for produsing and sharing it. Please dont pretend it isnt an attempt to steal software!

    Avast! reports many keygens and crackers as viruses even though they are not. It has to do with code being injected into a program or a random number generator.

    I hope this works for my game, i just downloaded the program and the freetrial, i already have the game but having two computers means someone is usually using the main “big comp” which leaves me with my “budget comp” so really ive already paid for the game im just trying to get my fair share of playing time. If thats illegal then i’ve lost faith in the freedom of the internet.

    When I tried to install Timestopper, it got as far as creating the ‘uninstall data’ and said it couldn’t create the ‘uninstall data’. Then it just closed and stopped installation. What happened?
