They are kind of self sufficient when it comes to OS and software. ftp is the old common standard file transfer tool from netkit. This is a basic thing installed on all Linux systems. Yet we have a list of other more powerful FTP clients and servers for Linux. Here are top Download/Upload managers or FTP clients for Linux.

FileZilla FTP

NcFTP

NcFTP – NcFTP Client (also known as just NcFTP) is a set of FREE application programs implementing the File Transfer Protocol (FTP).
