I had to ask DreamHost support about a problem today and after when I generated a ticket, I spotted a magic button ‘Live Chat’ above at the panel. I was literally overjoyed. This is the feature which I used to miss a lot in Control Panel. There are many Hosts out there which provide Live Chat facility even when you are not their customer (This does not mean that they are good though). I withdrew the ticket and just talked with DreamHost support live and I am really happy. I have observed that most of the users, when they get hosting account, they also check that whether there is a Live chat facility or not so that they can get back to support as soon as some problem occurs. It makes users feel secure, that Support is always there.
Recently my PC OS got corrupted during some experimental work related to registry and I had to reinstall the Windows. When I was done I intended to download Windows Live Messenger. I downloaded custom setup which gave me an error that “Latest Windows Installer is required to proceed“. Previously I had posted ‘Windows Live Messenger standalone setup’ which might not be working now. But here is an update related to the ‘Latest Windows Installer’ and custom ‘Windows Live Messenger’ setup with Live components installation options.
Guess what? You can share data from Here, there, everywhere… and anywhere using your PC, MAC or mobile phone and access it anywhere using your PC, MAC or mobile phone or friend’s PC, MAC or mobile phone. You can even access your office PC desktop remotely at your home PC. wicked…eh! All you need is a Windows Live ID. (email address at www.live.com). Your work computer. Your home laptop. Your Mac. Your mobile phone. Devices live in multiple places. But the files you need—and the programs that open them—often don’t. Live Mesh changes all that. Stop e-mailing yourself. Get files across your devices by synchronizing them instead.
By definition you can say that: Live Mesh is a ‘software-plus-services’ platform and experience from Microsoft that enables PCs and other devices to ‘come alive’ by making them aware of each other through the Internet, enabling individuals and organizations to manage, access, and share their files and applications seamlessly on the Web and across their world of devices.
