In September 13, 2011 Windows 8 Developer Preview was released. On 29 February 2012, Microsoft released Windows 8 Consumer Preview. On May 31, 2012, Windows 8 Release Preview was released to the public by Microsoft. The release to manufacturing (RTM) is expected in August 2012 although Windows 8 will be available to users in October.

Windows 8 release preview is smoother and more responsive. Apps snap opening, and switching between apps is immediate. The People and Photos hubs integrate with multiple social services e.g. Facebook, Google, LinkedIn, and Flickr. You can save photos locally from Facebook or Flickr in the Photos hub. Everything is big, bright, smooth and beautiful in Windows 8 release preview. Windows 8 Release Preview supports Flash plugin in Metro Style Internet Explorer 10 Application. Three new Metro-style applications e.g. Sports, Travel, and News have been added.

I think the change is great. Doesn’t matter if we have to search for apps, things or options on new Windows but it will add interest in the new Windows. People claim, now its hard to find options to do stuff in Windows 8. I think its fun to explore and try new things at Windows 8. Anyways here it is for you. Windows 8 screenshots are out. We have collected few screenshots of Windows 8 which might not be final because Windows 8 is still in development mode. Windows 8 will be a speedy install, and will take only eight minutes, which is 2.5 times faster than Windows 7 install. Keep in mind that Microsoft is using a fast PC with an eight-core CPU to use Windows 8. Microsoft has expanded Windows 8 System Restore capability.
