Brightest minds from around the world come to U.S. top colleges and universities to pursue graduate degree. As soon as they obtain graduate degree, they return to their country, because student visa does not allow foreign students to stay in the U.S. after they obtain degree. Those high-tech skilled graduates return to their countries e.g. China, India, Pakistan to start their own businesses and create job opportunities. This hurts American economy greatly. This is going to be changed in U.S. Senators Lamar Alexander (R-Tenn.) and Chris Coons (D-Del.) introduced the SMART Jobs Act (Sustaining our Most Advanced Researchers and Technology). According to Sen. Alexander, this bill is an essential measure to keep talented workers and potential job creators in the U.S.
