After securing the Republican nomination for the president, the Mitt Romney campaign celebrated by releasing the official iPhone app Tuesday night, “With Mitt” which lets users take a photo using banners like, “I’m With Mitt” and “I’m a Mom for Mitt” and then share with your friends via email, Facebook, or Twitter. The election team realized that one of the banners had misspelled a word.
The banner says; “A Better Amercia” instead of “A Better America.” After few hours, the social networks (Twitter, Facebook, Tumbler, Forums) exploded with critical and funny comments with funny photos of “Better Amercia”. By Wednesday afternoon, the Romney campaign had edited the app and removed the offending banner entirely. Mitt Romney’s “With Mitt” iPhone app no longer includes the “Amercia” typo now.
