Vladimir Prelovac is SEO expert and WordPress solution provider. I spent a whole day reading his blog about SEO tips and advice for WordPress. I have got to say that I am pretty much impressed. Every blogger, SEO, webmaster should read his blog. Its my recommendation. You will find huge stuff and great advice about how you can improve your current website in every aspect. I have observed another specific thing at Vladimir Prelovac’s site that whatever he posts; gets good page rank. He is not getting huge comments, Twitter, Digg and Facebook love as compared to mashable but still he has got good page ranks all over in his site even when the article is really small. Great job on original content. I have been using some of plugins by Vladimir e.g. ‘SEO Super Comments‘ which can increase your readership at considerable rate by utilizing your comments for SEO purpose resulting increase in traffic. I have noticed something with SEO Super Comments lately that it can give you trouble with the duplicated meta tags where it creates separate page for every single comment. The comment page gets the same meta information as it is for the post. I hope to get update about this great plugin on this one soon. Anyways! here is another great tool for bloggers, SEOs, webmasters and developers to improve their website overall performance in search engines. Its Firefox plugin by ‘Vladimir’ … named as SEO Doctor.
Page Speed is an open-source Firefox / Firebug Add-on. Webmasters and web developers can use Page Speed to evaluate the performance of their web pages and to get suggestions on how to improve them. By using Page Speed, you can:
- Make your website faster.
- Keep Internet users engaged with your site.
- Reduce your bandwidth
Page Speed performs several tests on a site’s web server configuration and front-end code. These tests are based on a set of best practices known to enhance web page performance. Webmasters who run Page Speed on their pages get a set of scores for each page, as well as helpful suggestions on how to improve its performance.
It Doesn’t Have to be This Way; whatever it is. Mozilla has introduced Ubiquity for firefox, which is an experiment in connecting the Web with language and straight commands. You tell it to do what you want and it does it for you straight away. Call it Web AI(Artificial Intelligence). Some features of Ubiquity are;
- Control the web browser with language-based instructions. (With search, users type what they want to find. With Ubiquity, they type what they want to do.)
- Enable on-demand, user-generated mashups with existing open Web APIs. (In other words, allowing everyone (not just Web developers) to remix the Web so it fits their needs, no matter what page they are on, or what they are doing.)
- Use Trust networks and social constructs to balance security with ease of extensibility.
- Extend the browser functionality easily.
FireShot is a Firefox extension that creates screen shots of web pages. Often I have seen many people hit Print Screen button and then past in Microsoft Paint or Adobe Photoshop to get a Screenshot of page. Fireshot available as a Firefox plugin is easiest way to capture web page as an image. And its free.
Unlike other extensions, this plugin provides a set of editing and annotation tools, which let users quickly modify web captures and insert text annotations and graphical annotations. Such functionality will be especially useful for web designers, testers and content reviewers.
It’s possible to choose whether you want to capture entire web page or take screenshot of only visible part of the web page.
Digital Effects is a plug-in for MSN Messenger video chatting which produces special effects for video communication at your live video. While the plug-in loads, users can select 3-D costumes or other digital effects (moustache, pirate look) in a pop-up window, and those effects will be applied to a selected photograph. Users also can blur the background of photos to help protect privacy.
