remove antivirus 7

Antivirus 7 is not an Antivirus. Its a virus that looks like Antivirus with AVG like Interface. Antivirus 7 is a rogue anti-virus program that reports false threats and displays fake security alerts on your PC. Antivirus 7 does this to convince you that your computer is infected with malware. This fake program is promoted and installed through the use of Trojans and often comes bundled with other malicious software. Antivirus 7 is part of a blatant scam used to lure you into paying for removal of infections which don’t exist. Remove Antivirus 7 and all associated threats using an updated anti-virus program. Here is all about Antivirus 7 you need to know to remove it.

Antivirus 7 Infection Cause

Antivirus7 (Antivirus 7) is from the same family as the Antivir rogue. This program is promoted through the use of web sites that pretend to be online anti-malware scanners. You will typically get to these pages through web pop-ups that state that your computer is infected and that you should run an online scan. When you click on this pop-up you will automatically be brought to a page showing an advertisement that pretends to be an online anti-malware scanner. When this fake scanner finishes it will state that you are infected and that you should download and install Antivirus7 to protect your computer.

What Antivirus 7 Does?

When Antivirus7 is installed it will be set to start automatically when you login to Windows. Once started it will scan your computer and state that there are a variety of infections on your computer, but will not remove them until you first purchase the program. These infections are all fake, though, and the files it states are infected are actually legitimate Windows programs. Therefore please do not manually delete any of the files it states are infections as it may cause your Windows operating system to not operate properly.

While Antivirus7 is running it will also display numerous fake security warnings on your Windows desktop. These alerts will state that a virus has been detected, that there was an Identity theft attempt, or that important critical updates for your computer are ready to be installed. The text of some of these alerts are:

Resident Shield: New virus detected
Warning! New virus detected
Please click “Remove All” button to heal all infected files and protect your PC

Internet Shield: Identity theft attampt detected
Warning! Identity theft attempt detected
Please click “Prevent attack” button to heal all infected files and protect your PC

Security advisor: Important updates available
Attention! New important updates available
