Nissan Introduces Smart Watch

by on September 26th, 2013

Samsung and Apple have already jumped in the field of smart watch which seems to be the next most discussed wearable device. Meanwhile, cars manufacturer ‘Nissan’ has also created a smart watch designed exclusively for drivers. This device can communicate with the car and driver, providing drivers with some useful and real-time information such as current average speed and driver’s heart beat rate. The Nismo Watch will connect with Nissan’s Nismo vehicle range, enabling drivers to keep track of their current speed and fuel consumption. It will continuously monitor the heart beat rate of driver and will suggest him to reduce vehicle’s speed, if his heart beat rate increases above from a certain limit. This watch will help monitor performance data which will be transmitted to a smartphone app via bluetooth, where it will be stored.

Smart watch contains a smooth band with two buttons to control the watch interface. It will come in black, white and a combination of black and red colors. Its lithium battery can work for seven days after one full charging activity. You can charge the watch by using micro-USB. More features for this device are being experimented with, to introduce in it later. Nissan is aiming to monitor and record detailed statistics from driver and the car to improve driving experience.
