Make Windows Media Player Play All Audio Video Files
For MKV use VLC player, For WMV use K-Lite Codecs pack, For AVI Use 321 Classic Media Player, For VOB use Cyber Link Power DVD, For DivX use DivX Player…. so on and so forth… This is really ridiculous, seriously. And now recently I just downloaded some videos (AVi format) and these said that use no other than PlayVix Player. Buddy, I do not use any other software than the Windows Media Player to play all my video/audio files now. I am gonna show you how.
Windows Media Player by default can only play a limited type of audio/video files (WMA, MP3, WMV, ASF, MPEG etc) and to play other type of media files (MP4, 3GP, MOV, Flv etc) you need to either download a separate media player or find suitable codec packages for Windows Media Player. Definitely this is also a Codec based solution. But by using these codecs, you will be able to play all major media files right from Windows Media Player for Windows XP, Vista and Windows 7. You will no longer be restricted to using a specific player. These Codec Packages can play DVD’s, movies and video clips of almost any filetype using Windows Media Player. These does not contain a media player and it doesn’t associates filetypes.
