JailbreakMe Beta to Jailbreak iPad 2 on iOS 4.3.3, 4.3.2, 4.3.1

by on July 10th, 2011

Comex, the developer of JailbreakMe 3.0 is about to release the iPad 2 jailbreak. One of the beta testers of iPad 2 jailbreak via JailbreakMe has leaked the jailbreak. He was able to jailbreak iPad 2 by downloading a pdf file in mobile Safari on the iPad 2 which contains the exploit developed by Comex and will jailbreak your iPad 2, allowing you to access Cydia. This iPad 2 jailbreak is currently in beta version and will contain few bugs and will only work on WiFi models of the iPad 2. Safari has been reported to crash on your iPad 2 if you use this method. Better approach is to wait for Comex final official release.

You can also download the pdf file from here.

If you downloaded iOS 5 beta 2 and restored your iPad 2 to it, JailbreakMe will not jailbreak iOS 5. For that purpose, save your iOS 4.3.x SHSH blobs for JailbreakMe iPad 2 jailbreak as downgrading firmware from iOS 5 is going to be impossible soon. Save iPad 2 SHSH blobs using TinyUmbrella before you upgrade to beta firmware.

If you have upgraded your iPad 2 to iOS 5 beta 2, you can connect your iPad 2 to iTunes and then click on Restore. iTunes will automatically restore your iPad 2 to iOS 4.3.3, which is the most recent firmware on Apple’s servers. Proceed to jailbreak iPad 2 using leaked JailbreakMe beta.
