iTunes 10 New Logo – I am better than Steve Jobs
Apple announced the iTunes 10 with its new logo. Many Apple fans disliked the new logo because it ditched the classic CD with a hovering blue music note for a blue background and black music note. Steve Jobs declared that Apple has changed the logo because physical CD sales will be surpassed by iTunes digital music sales. Steve Jobs received some responses from the Apple and design community like the following.
ValuLeads designer Joshua Kopac emailed to Steve Jobs:
Enjoyed the presentation today. But … this new iTunes logo really sucks. You’re taking 10+ years of instant product recognition and replacing it with an unknown. Let’s both cross our fingers on this….
Steve Jobs replied to designer Joshua Kopac:

Logo is an identity of any company, any service. Its the first thing that people associate themselves with, when they choose to prefer any service over the other. After Steve Jobs introduced the iTunes 10 logo, it attracted disapproval from large number of tech people in the Apple community. TechCrunch started a competition based on if you can do it better then design iTunes 10 logo.
Design the new iTunes 10 logo and send it to TechCrunch with subject like “I am better than Steve Jobs” or something clever and they will post your design for Steve Jobs or Apple to see.
There are few more responses from designers and Twitter community.
And here is a Twitter account with Bio “Don’t hate me cuz I’m new. I have feelings too!” here.
