I am sure to get this great security software for my data protection. I am again infected by a rootkit (BSOD + slow computer + strange things happening always) and downloading Kaspersky Rescue CD to scan my system and data. I am eagerly waiting Sept 26. I am already subscribed to site newsletter. Please help me to complete my studies with some piece of mind. In next semester, I have to write my thesis too and am afraid of such destructing viruses already. I am requesting repeatedly for sake of my future.

It really gets me mad when i see all these reviews of how much this program sucks up resources. ya if your running an active scan it can take up a decent amount of processing power and about 100mb of ram but that is why you run scans at times like maybe overnight while your sleeping? Even if I use my computer while scanning, it still runs extremely good so all these people that complain are probably using systems that are 5+ years old. and if thats the case run scans when your not using the computer. Simple fix.
The real-time protection is incredible and uses around 5mb of ram and almost no processing power.
Being a Power User Kaspersky gives you a ton of freedom with changing advanced options. Basically you can change options for practically anything you could possible think of.
Even for newer users the initial setup is still very good for protection so you can install and not worry about going through settings if your not comfortable
Overall this is an impressive Internet security suite and much less bloated than other programs like norton
