I am going to tell you that how you can capture screen or its selected area, upload and get the URL of image with single button click. Suppose you are using the computer. You need to show some of your computer screen piece or shall we say screenshot to a friend. What would you do? Print Screen -> Paste that image from clipboard into any image editor program -> save it -> upload it -> Get the URL -> Send URL to a friend! Seriously! that's a lot of serious work. Here is an application, completely free, which will capture screenshot for you and upload it automatically and provides you URL of the image. You just need to capture your screen and this application will give you URL which you can send to your friend to show that image. That's it. This application let's you grab or capture a piece (screenshot) of your screen. The image is then automatically uploaded to the GrabOut server by the application and it instantly returns a URL for you to quickly share the image with your friends.

The image can be public or private. You just click a button and select the area of screen and wait for a while and nothing happens, just the GrabOut inputbox shows or gives you URL of the uploaded screenshot. That's it.

Clean Prefetch Folder to Improve Windows Performance

It is necessary to wash and clean system registry and TEMP files for Windows periodically to retain maximum performance. Prefetch is a very useful technique in Windows. After using Windows after some time, the prefetch folder can get full of rarely used or obsolete links and data which will slow down your computer noticeably. Here is how you can increase your system performance by cleaning prefetch folder.

Go to C:\WINDOWS\Prefetch
Delete all files
Reboot
Do this once in a month

Note: Deleting prefetch files too often (Every reboot) can decrease system performance!

Dreamhost PS Resources New Changes Confusion and Problem

Recently Dreamhost made some changes in their PS resources. The customers who have Virtual Private Server resources can adjust the slider from their PS resources section to cop with heavy site usage issues. Previously they had the same stuff but with an indication of burstable resources. I mean if you slide your resources to any point, It would indicate that you have 'this much' extra burstable resources in case your site needs it. Now this feature is gone permanently. On asking their support they told that burstable resources are still there, its just they eliminated that indication so that users may not get confused. Previously my PS resources were showing me huge consumption and I had adjusted the slider a little higher. I noticed that the graph in PS resources section dropped at considerable amount. On asking the support they told me that they have adjusted their servers to handle memory usage in an even better way.

I moved the slider down according to the usage shown and my sites got 'internal server error' which you see in case of insufficient resources or memory. So I moved that slider to its position where it was earlier. Support recommended me this page to read. Linux Ate My RAM. They said that this will explain me about the changes they did. After reading that page I have come to a conclusion that there has been some swap memory which system needs. Their previous graph was showing the memory in use + swap memory which my sites were using. Now the server needs swap memory as well. Now their graphs are showing only the memory which my sites are using and not the swap memory which is actually being used. If you will move slider down according to their current usage graph, the site will show 'internal server error'. I think if your PS resource graph is showing you 100mb, it means you need 1000mb memory and you need to place slider at 1000mb because you need swap memory too.

This is a new confusion for users.

Elimination of burstable resources indication.
Not showing swap memory usage which is also a part of site usage.

This new change is good for users though because they see what they are consuming and will be satisfied that they are using less memory but infact they will get a lot of 'internal server errors' by mistake of not considering 'swap memory' need.

Be careful where you put your PS resources slider, you need to move it a bit higher. I think now the current graph is not reliable and is not showing the exact usage of site. I hope there would be some guidance from Dreamhost for users to solve this issue.

Use Trial Software Forever without Expiration

We can use software to have trial version of any software without expiration as I have posted earlier but there is a way you can do it yourself as well. Using this technique you will be able to use trial version of any software as long as you want. Sometimes you are not sure whether you are ready to buy software or not when you have used it and its trial period has been over. You want to try it more but that software won't get reinstalled at PC and says that the trial period is over, please purchase software. Here is a trick that will enable you to install that software again at your PC and you can use that trial software again.

When we install any software, it places some entries in registry. After when trial period is over and you uninstall it, all the files will be removed from PC but its registry entries will remain there. Do the following:

Uninstall the software completely.
Go to run
Type regedit, hit enter
Registry editor will be opened
Press Ctrl+F or Edit->Find
Type the software name
Select Look at Keys, Values, Data
and hit Find next
If it finds any key or data then Delete that
Hit F3 for Next find
Keep finding next data, keys for the software and delete all one by one

Try different name of same software and delete its all data and keys from registry.

Now try reinstalling the software and in most cases, you will be able to reinstall the software again and use the trial period again.

Snow Bros (Nick and Tom) is an arcade game. Some people call it chichi michi. It is a platform game similar in gameplay to Bubble Bobble. Force Windows to Unload DLLs from Memory to Increase PC Performance

You can increase PC performance by forcing Windows to Unload DLLs from Memory. Windows Explorer caches DLLs (Dynamic-Link Libraries) in memory for a period of time after the application using them has been closed. This can be an inefficient use of memory on low memory systems, and may cause problems or delays for programmers developing with Windows DLL files. Using following method you can force Windows to unload DLLs from memory to free some more system resources.

Open your registry and find the key

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer]

Create a new sub-key named 'AlwaysUnloadDLL' and set the default value to equal '1' to disable Windows caching the DLL in memory.

Restart Windows for the change to take effect.

Following are more than 80 ways which can boost your PC performance right now and make PC work faster as new.

Use the Windows Performance Toolkit and the trace logs to speed up Windows boot time.
Perform a virus scan on your computer regularly. If you don’t want to install virus protection, use some of the free online virus scanners.
Use web accelerators, which are programs that try to prefetch and cache the sites you are going to visit.
Make sure that there are no bad sectors or other errors on your hard drive.
If you have a SATA drive and you're running Windows Vista, you can speed up your PC by enabling the advanced write caching features.
Reduce the number of fonts that your computer has to load up on startup to increase performance.
Remove unnecessary old programs from the Add/Remove dialog of the Control Panel often.
Update all of your drivers in Windows, including chipset and motherboard drivers to their latest versions.
Partition your hard drives correctly to maximize performance.
Speed up Mozilla Firefox by tweaking the configuration settings and by installing an add-on called FasterFox.
Speed up the Start Menu in Windows by customizing or adding the 'MenuShowDelay' key in the registry.
Make sure that you have selected “Adjust for best performance” on the Performance tab in Computer System Properties.

If you have more than one disk in your PC, you can increase performance by moving your paging file to the second drive and formatting the volume using FAT32 instead of NTFS.

If you have a SCSI drive, make sure the write cache is enabled. You can do so by opening the properties of the SCSI drive in Windows.
Use Windows Classic theme. Set it under Display Properties.
Turn off system restore.
If you use uTorrent to download torrents, you can increase the download speeds by tweaking the settings.
Tweak mouse and keyboard settings from control panel.
Clean up hard drive disk space being taken up by temporary files, the recycle bin, hibernation and more.
If you are using Windows Vista, you can disable the Welcome Center splash screen that always pops up.
If you have a machine with an older network card, make sure to enable the onboard processor for the network card, which will offload tasks from the CPU.
If you search on Google a lot or Wikipedia, you can do it much faster on Vista by adding them to the Vista Start Menu Instant Search box.
Turn off default disk performance monitors on Windows to increase performance.
If you have a custom built computer or a PC that was previously used, make sure to check the BIOS for optimal settings such as enabled CPU caches, correctly set IDE/SATA data transfer modes, memory timings, etc. You can also enable Fast/Quick boot if you have that option.
Speed up Internet browsing in IE by increasing the number of max connections per server in the registry.
Use Process Lasso to speed up your computer by allowing it to make sure that no one process can completely overtake the CPU.
Remove the drivers for all old devices that may be hidden in Device Manager that you no longer use.
Speed up boot time by disabling unused ports on your Windows machine.
Increase the FileSystem memory cache in Vista to utilize a system with a large amount of RAM.
If you have lots of files in a single folder, it can slow down Explorer. It's best to create multiple folders and spread out the files between the folders.

For the Virtual Memory setting in Windows (right-click on My Computer, Properties, Advanced, Performance Settings, Advanced, Virtual Memory), make sure the MIN and MAX are both the same number.
Choose a faster operating system. If you find Vista to be slow, go with Windows XP. Switch to Mac or Linux.
In Windows, the Windows Search indexing service is turned on for all local hard drives. Turn off indexing to increase performance.
One of the easiest ways to speed up your PC is to simply reformat it. Backup your data first.
Clean your mouse, keyboard and computer CPU fan.
Edit the right-click context menu in Windows XP and Vista and remove unnecessary items to increase display speed.
Speed up your Internet browsing by using an external DNS server such as OpenDNS.
Defragment your computer hard disk.
Move or change the location of your My Documents folder so that it is on a separate partition or hard drive.
Completely uninstall programs and applications using a program like Revo Uninstaller. It will get rid of remnants left behind by normal uninstalls.
If you know what you are doing, you can install several hard drives into your machine and set them up in RAID 0, RAID 5, or other RAID configurations.
If you have files that are generally large, you might want to consider increasing the cluster size on NTFS to 16K or even 32K instead of 4K. This will help speed up opening of files.
Move the paging file on a different hard drive or partition than the boot partition.
