DreamHost Introduces Live Chat for PS Customers
I had to ask DreamHost support about a problem today and after when I generated a ticket, I spotted a magic button ‘Live Chat’ above at the panel. I was literally overjoyed. This is the feature which I used to miss a lot in Control Panel. There are many Hosts out there which provide Live Chat facility even when you are not their customer (This does not mean that they are good though). I withdrew the ticket and just talked with DreamHost support live and I am really happy. I have observed that most of the users, when they get hosting account, they also check that whether there is a Live chat facility or not so that they can get back to support as soon as some problem occurs. It makes users feel secure, that Support is always there.
DreamHost finally has added ‘Live Support’ in its control panel for PS users. They are experimenting it and actively providing Live Support for PS users for urgent issues and they say that they eventually will roll this feature out to everyone. This is great step for DreamHost. Generating a ticket and getting the answer about it used to take one whole day before. It was really irritating in the case when there is something wrong with the files or domain and you have to wait 24 hours for support to reach you. Now finally this problem seems to be solved and I am feeling a bit more secure having live support all the time available.
