Customize YouTube Video Settings and Auto Hide Video Ads
There are several ways you can control or customize the way YouTube video behaves. You can use Firefox extensions or Userscript to make your YouTube videos watching experience even better. You can stop autoplaying of videos, stop video ads and auto enable HD mode of video.
TubeStop (FireFox Extension)
TubeStop is an extension for Mozilla-based Web browsers that disables the autoplay on YouTube videos. This means that you can open multiple YouTube videos in tabs in the background without them all starting to play at once. TubeStop also disables the autoplay on YouTube videos embedded on non-YouTube.com sites (MySpace, for example). TubeStop is not just useful for stopping the auto-play of YouTube videos but it also and removes InVideo overlay ads. TubeStop replaces the original video player with the embedded player, which doesn’t serve ads. You’ll need to be running Firefox, Flock, or Netscape Navigator to use the TubeStop extension.
