In Windows 8 users noticed that Microsoft removed prominent Start button from Windows desktop. Microsoft executives explained that many Windows users do not use the Start button. An increasing number rely more on pinning favorite apps to their taskbar or they use keyboard shortcuts to access most used programs. So Microsoft introduced a tiled Start screen as part of the new Metro interface. The tiled Start screen is actually the start menu as part of new design. But still users may miss it because it was really easy and familiar to find and start programs. Samsung is bringing back a new stylish Start button in Windows 8 that is called as S Launcher.

Microsoft recently launching a new version of SkyDrive taking advantage of modern browsers and HTML5 to make SkyDrive faster, easier to navigate, and great for viewing photos. Microsoft is committed to making SkyDrive the best place to access your content from anywhere, collaborate on Office documents, and share photos with friends and family.

Updated SkyDrive includes speed boosts, a revamped UI, and improvements to photo viewing. New SkyDrive saves time on actions like clicking folders, from six to nine seconds down to 100 to 300 milliseconds. The updated software also features H.264 video playback, a navigation system similar to desktop browsing in Windows, and a single view for files, documents, and photos. Microsoft is going to unveil Windows 8 Based Tablet PC with Nvidia Tegra chip. Windows 8 tablet’s start screen contains personalized selection of tiles. Every app on your system is represented by a tile. Tiles replaced the desktop icons. Tiles are better than icons for couple of reasons. Tile has little more space for app to show its personality and few important informations/updates related to it. For example the weather app can show you temperature without having to open it right at its tile. Windows 8 tablets will have apps and an app store. Developers will be able to create new apps for Windows 8. Its fast and fluid experience built for touch but you can also use keyboard and mouse. You can adjust the apps at screen with snap feature.
