A friend of mine wanted to transfer his data from a USB drive to my PC but the USB had no visible files. It was showing that it had few GBs of data in it but all it contained were few shortcuts. Antivirus program detected few viruses from that USB which were deleted. Furthermore I scanned and cleaned the USB drive by using some other antivirus tools (AdwCleaner, JRT, Spybot S&D, TDSSKiller and more). The USB was still not showing any data. It however displayed a hidden folder with no name. The folder had no name and it was showing zero size. Virus created a folder without name and transferred all the USB data in that folder. I had cleaned the USB. Now all I had to do is to retrieve that hidden data from USB drive. Here is how to do it.

Recently I faced a problem with my internet speed. I was able to connect to the internet every time but I had to wait for almost 10 to 20 minutes or more to browse any website. I tried with different web browsers (Safari, Firefox, IE, Chrome) but the result was the same. I thought it was the problem with my internet provider and checked the internet device and made sure that the internet connection was working fine. I was able to use same internet connection on different computers without any problem. The problem was with this particular laptop (with Windows 7 installed) that I was using. I scanned the system by using several antivirus programs and even by using security tools to find if any malware, spyware, trojan or other viruses are present that might be using internet resources but I found no virus.

Ever encountered a problem in which you can’t open Group Policy Editor even using administrator account. When you try the command gpedit.msc or other commands with msc extensions like services.msc, devmgmt.msc, compmgmt.msc etc. simply an error message shows up which says:

Access is denied.

Try opening the editor by double clicking the gpedit.msc inside the system32 folder but you will encounter the same error message.

Someone asked about the following problem:

I read your article at: Disguise Any Folder to Recycle Bin. I have sort of a reverse problem. While right clicking on a folder to change the icon from default manila folder type, to a tree icon, I accidentally clicked on the recycle bin icon next to the tree icon, and it changed my 20 gig folder to a recycle bin and is hiding the files, while at the same time, it acts as a bin for recycled files. My files are there, because when I do right click/properties now, it starts spooling hundreds of megabytes, but the files can’t be seen or accessed. I can’t change the icon back, because right clicking and selecting properties on the recycle bin it created, does not give an option to change the icon, like a normal folder does. Any way to fix this?

Well the solution is really simple. You have to do two things.
