@Rody: You can use Akismet plugin which comes with WordPress software with discussion blacklist under settings. There are many other ways to eliminate spam problem from your blog. @mike: I recommend only few and necessary plugins some of which are: Akismet All in one SEO pack Google XML sitemaps wassup Simple archives generator Subscribe to comments WP db backup WP super cache @Ross: I usually take backup after every few posts. @Nina: Choose web host carefully. Only unix based secure dedicated server environment is good for blogs, in my opinion.
