Allow Third Party Themes for Windows XP and Vista
There has been a lot of trend lately to use custom themes for operating system to transform it into another. For example you can use Windows XP with a custom Windows 7 theme. In this case your Windows XP will completely look like Windows 7. Now some of users will not be able to run such modifications or transformations for their XP if its XP sp2 or sp3 (with Microsoft Service Pack updates). In this case they will have to allow third party themes for Windows.
You will have to patch the “uxtheme.dll” file to allow 3rd party visual styles (in case of Xp sp2 or sp3), if its not patched, then download and run the UXtheme Patcher.

This little patch will enable the user to have his own unsigned themes ready to use on the new Service Pack 3 install. The SP3 UxTheme application was designed to be a little tool that will help the user create his own unsigned themes ready to use on the new Service Pack 3 install. Run the EXE file and click on “Patch” button. It’ll take a few seconds and then you can restart your system to take effect.

Uxtheme Multi-patcher will allow you to use any 3rd party msstyle theme on Windows XP/SP1/SP2 or Windows Server 2003 (with Themes enabled) just by patching the uxtheme.dll (dynamic link library).
