Quick Question: Monitor, Mouse, Keyboard, Sound System, Router. Which one is most boring device? Router…of course. You install it and forget it usually, like forever (This case is different for Computer Networking Professionals who constantly deal with routers). Routers are the humblest most devices with no beauty, colors or glamour about em’. Few people I know care what their router looks like? and plenty don’t even know what a router is. They only care that their internet works and something blinking it sitting on the computer desk or in a corner behind a side table such that they can use it.
But the internet router. Most of us have one. Whether hidden under a desk or shoved next to the TV, this ubiquitous chunk of plastic and wires may be functional – but it certainly isn’t sexy. However, a new generation of ‘designer’ home routers will do far more than flash randomly and deliver the web to our computers. Goldsmiths, University of London – world renowned for design and innovation – has been working with the country’s largest home broadband provider, TalkTalk. Together, they have been exploring what the Routers of the Future might look like and how they could take pride of place in our households.
There are pretty much easy automated methods to copy everything from any blog as it gets updated from time to time. In order to do so you just need RSS Feed URL of the target blog. Ever heard of Blog Aggregator or Feed Reader? They does the same thing. If your feed gets in the wrong hands, you are in a big trouble. Whatever you will post, it will get published over there also without your acknowledgment or awareness. There is an easy solution to that.
Google is a big company, they are not gonna go away. but the number of people trying to get things done are gonna say “Bing! man, thats the way to go.”
Okay, the Yahoo and Google are already in the market. Their search engines are most powerful. Google is the most powerful search engine. You just type something and Google will let you know that there are thousands of related results you are looking for and thousands of related pages are there for you to explore about the topic you just searched, if you want to know all about that. Nobody is going to read all that thousands of pages of whole crap. We just do not read enough. We scan few search results pages, read titles of pages, open few, get our required information and close the browser. Google searches well. Its a giant. A search engine will not distinguish the better information than other among its search results. If there are some results in response from your search term, then search engine gonna throw those results at your face not thinking about which result is better and relevant than the other one to your request.
What’s the Bing then. I doubt that its even a real word. Except that I saw a TV show “Friends” once in which there is a funny character ‘Chandler Bing’ and I searched in the dictionary, it said there is bang, bind, big, bin… but there is no such thing as bing. Anyways…. Microsoft decided anyways to use the word Bing. Bing is the search engine by Microsoft which tries to distinguish results. It tries to give you better results. If you want to buy flights tickets or want to travel from some place to another, it will do some thinking and suggest something exactly related to that, and solution which has worked for other people. Its results are somehow live also.
In the post Why Windows Users Hate Windows I told my readers that I had a tough time in downgrading from vista to XP at my laptop. Well this is easy if you configure the right settings in Setup Options of System.
When PC starts press F2 to go into ‘Setup’ Options.
Go to ‘System Configuration’
Select ‘SATA Opreation’ which configures the operating mode of the integrated SATA hard drive controllers.
