530 Sorry, the maximum number of connections (10) for your host are already connected.

This error is caused by excessive opened connections via ftp. Whenever you are done with online ftp activity then close the connection from ftp properly otherwise it will be connected and some ftp or hosts may have limitations on opened connections. So after exceeding the limit you will no more be able to connect and then you will have to ask your host support from your host.

Make sure that you close connection as soon as you are done with them, as some ftp clients will generally leave their connection open unless told otherwise. Additionally, some clients such as Filezilla will allow multiple connections for any new activity, which uses up connections quickly. While this does make for faster transfers.

I use mostly Cute FTP and I have been sometimes doing it to just close ftp software (Alt+F4) and not closing connection; but the point is that when you have been connected then you must close connection properly as well.

For Wordpress new release 2.6.2, I updated one of my blog and got my posts exported and then imported into new blog. There one unusual thing I noticed. WP23RP (WP Related Posts Plugin) which I was using and post views plugin did something unusual. Whenever i was going to open my Write new post section It got held and jQuery script went unresponsive while I noticed that there was a loop going on in my Write Panel under Custom Fields Tab. Related posts were populating there which should not be because I was writing a new post, and was not editing any existing post.

my server got heavy load and they told me about it. I immediately turned off WP Related posts and Post Views plugins but problem was same. Post views fields were also populating there.

I realized that there must be some database problem. I fixed that after a bit of a struggle.

yet I did not get any response. But its a critical issue. It can be anything with new Wordpress 2.6.2 importing or it can be anything to do with WP Realted Posts Plugin (Update Issue).

Cross-site scripting (XSS) is a type of web security vulnerability typically found in web applications which allow code injection by hackers into the web pages by finding back doors and insecure and carelessly handled code. First of all please be aware that using too many plugins can cause your blog to respond slow and heavy load on your server (Serious Issues).

I have been spreading my word about what I have been doing to cope with the problem of comments spamming in blogs. This update took a bit of time. My blog was also unavailable for couple of days back because of my last uncooperative attitude (Choose your host very carefully). Now when things are back to normal I am ready to share some fresh experiences.

As you already might have noticed that there are a lot of plugins and online free tools for blocking comments spam .i.e. Spam Karma etc. I will share the method which has worked for me at my Wordpress blogs.

• Use Comment Blacklist Section under Discussion tab of your Wordpress blog admin and add some bad words there. I am not going to post here bad words. You will have to use your own imagination. One way is to see your comments spam and extract bad words which you do not want and past those in blacklist box (Every word in a new line). If you see any IP address posting spam comments many times, you can block it also by pasting IP address in there.
• Use default Akismet plugin which comes with Wordpress blog. I haven't admired it until I have used it. Seriously what can you expect more. Akismet checks for spam comments via its own server which means less load at your own blog. In Comments Section you get a tab named as Akismet Spam. Akismet separates spam from other comments and best thing about it, You can delete all by a single button.
• Use reCAPTCHA. reCAPTCHA is a free anti-bot service which offers a plugin for blog which adds a stylish box beneath your comments form asking visitors to fill in some numbers before posting comment. You can customize its style from admin.

By taking these three easy steps, I have now zero spam in my blogs. Before daily I used to find at least one hundred spam comments in each blog. Its been such a headache to delete those one by one. Also these spammers give your server and blog hard time by increasing unnecessary load at your website. Keep spammers away and your blog should prove more useful for people and available most of the time.
