Just deleted 250 spam comments manually one by one. Oh! it was hell of a job alright... Finally I figured it out that I have to add some plugin to stop spamming. I have tried some but some of those did not work and some I did not like. I have tried Captcha God Father, Cryptograph, mycaptcha, simple captcha, Spam Karma and yacaptcha. One of these was not generating image; one of these was generating image but was not validating it and was always giving error of wrong code and one of these was more then 1MB size with hell of instruction. Spam Karma was accepting every comment inspite of the fact that I have checked the option of always moderate a comment and it also approved a comment with three links when I have put limit of two comments. I figured it out that I will have to search more in this regard to find some captcha plugin. Easy to install and with less code from Wordpress Plugins directory.

One of the thing which I am noticing is that most of the comments are auto fired. I mean some kind of softwares or bots are firing rubbish comments with loads of rubbish links towards my wp-comments-post.php file which is putting these into my moderation queue.

Alright I will design my own captcha. Simple one. But for now I have a solution to cope with auto bots and spiders or nasty softwares which generate spam. Note starting <?php and ending ?> in file at your blog root named as wp-comments-post.php. This is the file which takes comments and ads it into your database. If we add some sort of check into it that only and only requests from the same domain at which your blog is will be processed further then I think we can get rid of auto mass spamming problem. This is the problem I witnesed with a colleague at office and now today it happened with me. I opened a webpage in dreamweaver and the CSS styles were not showing up. All the webpage was naked and colorless in design mode. I wondered. I doubled checked the CSS styles in head section. the script was there.

Searching over google did not help me as there was other issues about CSS and not this one. Then I kept looking in software options and did some settings and I got my visuals back after some minutes.
Here are the steps to solve the problem.

In dreamweaver Go to View - Visual Aids

Following options must be checked
- CSS Layout Box Model
- CSS Layout Outlines

Moreover Go to View - Styles Rendering

Make sure that following option is checked
- Screen Media Type

Interesting fact is this; even these option were checked with me but still CSS Styles were not displaying.
I figured out that I was using CSS Styles Script in another page header.php and so it was outside the webpage which I was editing but header was included in that page.

Here I did something more...
I defined site. Go to Site - Manage Sites
Define the site there, give it a name, give path where the pages are located and configure other options.
When site was defined then dreamweaver got it that where are rest of the pages and CSS was back and my page was again colorful in design mode.
Try this.

There are some situations where simple code may work properly in case of PHP online or at localhost if register_globals are on. But not necessarily if register_globals are off.

Warning: Header already sent
Sometimes messages like above that header already sent or undefined variable or index can appear.
Recommendation: You can use javascript redirect instead of header redirect.

Note how I have used @ which is not necessary to use but working at strict server and with globals off to avoid warnings you can use this.
Register_Globals are by default off. These are for security reasons. Meant to be like it. It is recommended to program with globals off settings and use POST and REQUEST always while passing variables through pages. i.e.

Trojans, viruses have been really a destructive agents. I have been asked many times about what antivirus software to prefer. I will share with you my experience. I installed Kaspersky back in 2007 and it worked really fine for me. This product is with one year key. So after one year key will be expired and you will have to activate it again with new key for next year.

I had no new key so I tried again AVG and couple of other anti viruses inluding EZ also but no benefit. My PC became a virus house. We have to move data from office, home, friends and from many other places. Viruses and trojans had to come.

I have got Kaspersky antivirus key for 2008 and 2009 now. Just reinstalled my windows again and installed Kaspersky 7 and applied registration key.

If you have got old Kaspersky and wondering what to do with it now for 2008 then proceed to links beneath and download new key. Relax and be sure with Kaspersky. You will be safe. My recommendation is Kaspersky.
