Google has knocked Microsoft off the top spot and been named the most powerful global brand of 2007 in a recently published ranking.

Here is an interesting article on cnet about the most powerful brand names in the world. Google tops the race of brand names leaving behind the giants like Microsoft and Coca Cola. Here’s the top ten list of brand names with their worth:

Type Urdu Or Your Native Language In Any Windows Program Or Application

Sometimes you have to use your native language or you just want to type in your native language while working. Windows comes with default English Language but also with other languages support.

I have a tip for you regarding this.

Go to Start - Settings - control panel
Click Regional And Language Options.
Choose second tab Languages.
Check below both check boxes which say:
Install files for complex script and right to left languages. Install files for East Asian languages.
Clicking apply will require a Windows XP CD.
After files will be copied you can choose your language from advanced tab.
For Writing Urdu (Write Urdu Language In Winword, notepad or any program or editor you use)

Now for URDU language do the same procedure as I have mentioned above. Install files for additional languages.
For second step you will be needing a Phonetic Keyboard software.
Get Keyboard software. (Below)
Install it. This keyboard will appear with language toolbar in your taskbar.
There will be a box from which you can select to use English or Urdu language to use in any program you are using.

You will have to reboot your PC perhaps.

As obvious in picture above, you can write urdu in standard way, using msword or winword software or even in notepad.

You will need to install files for other languages from control panel and then install Urdu Phonetic Keyboard and you are done. Just Open your favourite program or editor, select English or Urdu from language toolbar and use that specific language in that program.

A question arises that why I need to use this keyboard and this setup when I have inpage or other urdu editing programs available out there. For that, you know inpage can save file in its own format or can create a gif image file for you but not exact thing what you need; specially in case when you need to create a webpage in Urdu language.

Cant Delete File Or Folder - Access Denied - Sharing Violation Problem

Ever had such annoying messages (found below) given by Windows?

Cannot delete file: Access is denied.
There has been a sharing violation.
The source or destination file may be in use.
The file is in use by another program or user.
Make sure the disk is not full or write-protected and that the file is not currently in use.

Unlocker is the solution!
Unlocker is an Windows Explorer extension allowing you with a simple right-click on a file or folder to get rid of error message such as error deleting file or folder, cannot delete folder: it’s being used by another person or program.

Usage

Simply right click the folder or file and select Unlocker.
If the folder or file is locked, a window listing of lockers will appear.
Simply click Unlock All and you are done!

WordPress 2.5 - TechMynd Opinion

Things Change; some for good. Software is bound to be updated also. Just got WordPress 2.5, installed it and looked inside. Well I would say that its a better and improved approach towards blogging.

WordPress 2.5 stable version is available here for download. They are not releasing it for general public yet for a while and are waiting for user opinions.

What I have experienced I am sharing it here. Major updates are in administration section.

• New colors of course, but you can have old blue colors and administrative theme again if you want.
• Dashboard changed a bit. You can find Recent comments, Incoming links, Plugins and updates related to new releases right in your dashboard easily, beautifully arranged in sections.
• Presentation tab is removed. There is a new tab named as design there.
• There is no edit or delete text links in front of posts. You select a post by check box and then click delete button. For editing you will have to click at the post title and it will be opened for you in rich-text-editor to be edited. (Kind of easy for developers and advanced users but not for newbies…)
• Widgets section is changed also and it is better than before in my opinion.
• Overall performance is very fast.
• I like Rich-Text-Editor. Major changes seems to be in the rich text editor which can be easily spotted.
  There is an Add Media section. WOW!!!
  You can add;
  Image
  Video File
  Audio File
  Other media (i.e. pdf)
  Embed Media (i.e. flash, flv etc)
  and more… separately
  They know that we need to add more media then just images, in blogs.
• You can insert special custom characters, block quotes and more…
• You can full screen your rich text editor. WOW!!! I like this one too.
• There are other elements too like built-in support for avatars.

Many other features are also available in new release. I am impressed personally by Rich-Text-Editor.

Find Out Who is On your Website and Which link is he browsing? Very cool tool for checking in real time (Ajax based) that how many visitors are at which link of your website. Just copy and past code and easy to install.

The widget will display the number of people currently browsing your website at the same time. This is not a page counter, think of it as a ‘people’ counter. Clicking on the widget brings you to our detailed real time stats page, which shows:

I do not suggest such host which costs you more money and more time upon website management also.

Many Web Hosting Service Providers boost about their huge resources but they just say it and bandwidth issue occurs everywhere. I had talked to a very successful blogger StevePavlina who runs a Motivational blog. But he was on dedicated servers ServInt Internet Services and the packages there were very high for Virtual Private Servers.
Further browsing and I extracted a list of best hosting providers but everywhere packages were high and web space was less.

Then I came across WordPress recommendations for Hosting Providers. Another friend of mine who was already running a successful blog recommended me of BlueHost which is also recommended by WordPress for their software platform. I finally made my decision and got a package from BlueHost and now I am completely satisfied with that.
